MEET THE FAMILY

Chief smiles. Maybe that’s how he got his name. He has a therapy dog title. He is very lovable and likes to chase a ball. He was finished his conformation Championship very quickly when he started his show career in July and Finished it the following November. He was bred once to our Lovely Amma and two of their daughters are made it to the show ring. His breeders, Elaine Vella Jones and Cheryl Walek are proud of his accomplishments. He was shown at Westminster Hobb Nobbing with the big wigs in 2011. Hips, good, eyes, clear. Offa registered.

Parker was the cream boy pick of Rosie’s first litter. I held on to him because he was nice. Alan said to bring him to the show because he wanted to see him again. He handed him to Marlene and said, Why don’t you let Marlene take him home for a while and socialize him for you? (It’s what you call the puppy close). Parker ended up staying with Marlene who grew him out to beautiful perfection and finished his first Championship. Then one day she called and said she needed to place some dogs. I suggested Rainbear as she had been waiting for a white dog from that breeding line. Rainbear took Parker and the moment she saw him thought of cording. She asked me if she could. I said, œIf you are game, go ahead and try. Rainbear proved to be excellent at cording and when we took Parker to Westminster, he made the cut! Many people love the corded look and thoroughly enjoyed Parker and his cords. The dog communicator even told us that he loves to move with them and feel them bounce. Parker has sired two litters and some of his pups are in the ring.

Justin, the love of my life, was owner, Grace Durkin's, heart dog as well as an AKC Canine Good Citizen. Many NON apricot breeders would say, they don’t like apricots, but I like yours. He was Grace's teaching dog. He taught her a lot and many people helped her learn with him. I always felt he carried the nonfading gene for apricot and possibly for red. I didn’t breed him much and to this day, I only have two of his get. We will see if the red gene comes through and what the future will bring. Nothing can replace him but his kids are a great comfort. I will make his daughter Abba a therapy dog as she has just finished her Grand Championship. His other daughter Peach Blossom will be bred to a worthy apricot male.

Lovey (Living in Hagaman, NY) Grand Champion Magic Castle’s Pretty in Pink has Lori Gillispie as the wind beneath her wings. Judge Jean Fournier was very helpful too. Alan Waterman and De Angelis put on her third and fourth major to finish her and Lori brought her to her Grand Championship. Lovey had a Canine Good Citizen Title, a special mouse trick, and a very very fast ball retrieving instinct. She is loved by so many people, she could not have any other name as she goes to the grooming salon with Lori and sits under the table all day to keep company with Lori. Everyone wants a Lovey puppy.

Bliss was a result of Amma and Chief breeding. From the moment she was born she caught my eye. I waited to see what the evaluators would say, but I already knew she was the best one for me. She got her first major at her last puppy show. She is currently (Jan ’14) waiting for hair to grow before she returns to the ring. She moves like a dream and has been complemented by people I highly respect and honor. Thank You Alan Waterman for her first Major.

Abba is like her mother, only better. Abba finished her championship very quickly with Alan Waterman and De Angelo handling her for one summer. Then to Westminster in 2013 and finished her Grand Championship with Magic Castle Standard Poodles in 2014. 2015 Abba earned her TDI from The National Therapy Dog Association, followed by work in Rally. In 2016 she had a litter of three pups two of whom we kept as they were Apricot like her father Justin. Grand Champion Magic Castles A Dancing Queens Ransom

Rosie was the result of a breeding with Kaiser (the most beautiful silver dog ever). I convinced my friend to use Kaiser for his girl and when I saw the litter…. well…. I just had to have a pup. I didn’t have money and Jan Komoniak was kind enough to let me make payments. Rosie was energetic and full of spice. She earned her Championship with Margie Sullivan in ca. Rosie had three litters and produced to date three champions. The temperaments are great in these dogs credit to both Rosie and Kaiser. Rosie now lives with Betty Davis Wilkins who also owns and shows one of her Grandsons, Gibbs and one of her kids, Paige. Rosie is a therapy dog. Lovey and Parker also came from Rosie as well as Stella and Vickie.

Raquel was leased for the purpose of breeding to Justin. I can thank Alan Waterman for finishing her Championship. She was beautiful inside and out. Her Temperament was such that I thought Alan was going to cry when he brought her home. Her breeding didn’t pan out and she went home to live with Susie Osburn.

Arnie, Magic Castle’s True Lies Only is the son of Finn Ch Farleysd Little Gold Lace, my apricot girl that goes back to my foundation for Red and the first red Champion female in the US. He wasn’t shown. I guess I tried to do too many. He sired the litter with Stella and the pups are beautiful. His name comes from the movie True Lies where he was named Arnold after Arnold Schartznigger, the main actor in that movie. He has a half brother in Finland who has sired Finnish Champions and World Champions. The Finnish brother, Arska, also means Arnold.

Arska, the Finnish son of Lacey is an International Champion. His name is Finn Champion Joiner’s Quality Afina Arnold. In 2013 he participated in ten dog shows and every time won BOB-veteran. He is the father of Zalto Zibiri Feb.

Stella, Magic Castles Snow Thunder by Starlight. There was a snowstorm during the winter after she was born and during that storm was a thunderstorm. It's unusual to experience thunder during a snowstorm especially when stars are out. Stella (which means start) is unusually beautiful. She recently had a litter of pups with our Finnish apricot boy, Arnie and they have the most beautiful headpieces I have ever seen. Blue, yes blue, and apricot pups resulted from this breeding. I was told we could get red, but I wasn’t that lucky this time. Stella is looking at one more possible future breeding. She is a very loving outgoing dog and the temperaments of her pups were excellent. One pup went to an autistic boy as a service dog and one went to a junior handler. Little Romeo will be the keeper of Misfit Hearts in the breed ring with Heather.
